Bio

I completed my B.S. (2017) and M.S. (2019) in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. My PhD at Caltech, also in Mechanical Engineering, focuses on turbulence. For my thesis, I worked on extending resolvent analysis, an analysis tool for turbulence flows, to a wider class of flows. I am interested in applying this method to more complex flows in order to shed light on the fundamental properties of turbulence.

I am also interested in studying oceanic turbulence. Ocean turbulence plays a fundamental role in how oceans redistribute energy and exchange it with the atmosphere. Deepening our understanding of these processes is key to building better climate models.

In addition to research, I am an avid reader of mostly fiction and history. I also love to learn languages, and I am currently studying Turkish. I like to say that I am a decent cook, and love to host friends for dinners and chats.
